Dedekind Cut
American Zen
New York's Lee Bannon has many monikers. Originally from Northern California his work spans a range of sonic realms and includes influences from hip-hop, jungle, ambient and drone. Dedekind Cut 'draws out the dark calm of Coil, in the guise of a modern approach to noise, new age and ambient music. "American Zen" is both the first physical release and first to bear the 'ded000' code identifying the release number in the catalogue. Originally made strictly for tape release on Dominick Fernow's Hospital Productions, it's an impressive whole and not for the faint of heart. From the chilling drone of "American Zen 1" through to the harsh industrial noise of "Deja Vu, In Reverse" and the truly frightening "Falsom Lake 04" which was previously only available on the cassette version.
